DECORATORS CAULK
60 minute interior filler.
An easy to apply, quick drying, interior decorators filler which can be smoothed and over painted within 1-2 hours of application.
Our DECORATORS CAULK has good adhesion to most building materials and can be used to seal door and wooden window frames, as well as interior sealing of skirting boards and polystyrene coving. It is also suitable for sealing interior partition joints around fitted furniture and for repairing small cracks and joints with no movement in plaster and wood.
A must have item for everyones' tool kit.
Colour: White.
Shelf Life: Minimum 12 months in unopened cartridge stored at a temperature between 5-15 oC.
Most Suited For:
- Wood.
- Light fittings.
- Stair risings.
- Plaster.
- Brick.
- Concrete.
- Plasterboard.
Not Suited For:
- Applying at temperatures below 5 oC.
- Using in joints constantly immersed in water.
- Using in contact with bituminous products.
- Using in areas of high abrasion, e.g. floor joints.
- Joints that are subject to movement.
Applicator: Standard Sealant/ Caulking Gun.
Required H&S Products:
- Safety Glasses / Goggles.
- Gloves.
- Respirator.
- Thoroughly clean surfaces.
- Use primer if necessary.
- Apply using a standard sealant gun.
- Smooth down within 10 minutes using a slightly wetted spatula or sponge. Do not tool down after the skin has started to form.
- The caulk can be over painted with emulsion paint as soon as a skin forms, approximately after 1 hour. For oil based paints, allow to dry completely for 24 – 48 hours before over painting.
- Remove excess product with a damp cloth.

Will I need to prime the surface before I use SKILLEDBUILD DECORATORS CAULK?
DECORATORS CAULK does not require a primer on most common construction surfaces. However, in some cases it may be necessary to prime concrete or other surfaces for optimum adhesion. To determine whether a primer is required a sample should be tested.
When can I paint over SKILLEDBUILD DECORATORS CAULK?
The benefit of this product is that it is quick drying. Therefore, DECORATORS CAULK can be over painted with emulsion paint as soon as a skin forms, which is approximately after 1 hour. However, for oil based paints allow it to dry completely before over painting, this typically takes between 24-48 hours.
